The sound of wind and rain
The distant crashing of the sea
It’s a cold wind, a cold rain, and a cold sea

That’s outside
That’s what greets me
Birds struggle
Pushing against the wind
Windows creak
Tired of fighting against the wind

Trees bend
Snap against the wind
The lines of rain pound the door
Not constant, but always there
Not a sprinkling
Not a cozy downpour
Just rain
Frothy gray waves crash
Battering the gentle shore
Fury unleashed

The deep churns out a deafening roar
I’m frightened of
The power of the sea
Wind
Rain
Waves

Elements of gray November
