The sun glints off the snow,

Black against white is the essence of my soul and the snow-laden trees.

Autumn is far behind, Left in the dust.

Spring is far ahead, unimaginable future.

All looks bright and welcoming,

But underneath the snow, there lies a shadow.

Dark shadow,

Sinful shadow,

Hand in hand walk dark and light.

In the month of January.
